John Mueller of Google stated in a put up on Reddit that disallowing Googlebot to crawl your website wouldn’t instantly result in the positioning being deindexed. He added that “it could take fairly a while for the entire website to drop out,” and the house web page will not be dropped in any respect.
So when you want your web page or pages to be eliminated rapidly, use the site-removal request in Google Search Console.
John wrote, “Even when you disallowed all crawling, it could take fairly a while for the entire website to drop out, and certain issues just like the homepage would stay listed. What you’ve got posted right here is IMO irrelevant. My guess is you probably did one thing completely unrelated, like submit a site-removal request for http:// (which removes all variations, as documented).”
You may study extra about all of this on this Google assist doc.
