Summary
On this paper, we independently designed and constructed an experimental platform, together with a combustion system and a soot particles assortment system. Soot generated contained in the flame and soot emitted outdoors the flame had been collected through the combustion of kerosene and kerosene blended with ethanol gasoline. Transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier rework infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and thermogravimetry had been used to characterize each soot samples. The outcomes present that the addition of ethanol to kerosene, i.e., the formation of blended gasoline, causes the lag of soot emission. With the rise in ethanol addition, the incipient soot particles had been generated contained in the flame, and small, unoxidized, and heat-aging soot particles had been emitted outdoors the flame. The oxidation exercise of soot particles produced by including ethanol decreased, which was associated to their particle measurement.
