TRAI stated that contemplating the importance of alerts or messages despatched as per route issued below the Catastrophe Administration Act, 2005, the authority has determined that no expenses will likely be levied for such SMS/cell broadcast alerts or messages. CAP is a platform that permits an SMS or a cell broadcast to be focused at a specific area or space.
Nevertheless, the SMS or cell broadcast despatched in the course of the catastrophe or non-disaster scenario with none route issued below the Catastrophe Administration Act, 2005, will carry a cost of two paise per SMS.
